The document may have been autosaved while you were editing the document and the now earlier checked-in documents can be found in the Trash Bin.

Follow these steps to find the files that have been checked-out, but deleted and corrupted when checking in the document to IFS.

  1. Go to OneDrive - Cloud symbol at the bottom of the task bar.
  2. Click on «View online».

  1. Go to Recycle Bin (Papirkurv).
  2. Mark the file that was corrupted. There might be several versions of it if you were checking out and in the same file several times.
  3. Choose Restore (Gjenopprett).

  1. Go to File Explorer, find the IFSCheckout folder and open the restored file.
  2. Open the Version History and you will see the list of different versions on one side (left or right) in your Office application.

  1. You can now review the different versions of the file and find the best version you want to keep.

  1. When you have found the version you want to "save", click the "Restore" button. The file will now be moved back to the folder it has been deleted from.

  1. Go back to the IFSCheckout folder and change the name of the newly restored file (add «restore» to the end of the name – it is important to keep the rest of the filename, it will contain document and revision numbers)
  2. Go back to IFS and check out the corrupt document.
  3. Go back to the IFSCheckout folder again and delete the corrupt file you have just checked out.
  4. Delete the «restore» name addition from the filename you want to check in and check in the document from IFS by clicking the "Check In" button.
