The document may have been autosaved while you were editing the document and the now earlier checked-in documents can be found in the Trash Bin.
Follow these steps to find the files that have been checked-out, but deleted and corrupted when checking in the document to IFS.
- Go to OneDrive - Cloud symbol at the bottom of the task bar.
- Click on «View online».
- Go to Recycle Bin (Papirkurv).
- Mark the file that was corrupted. There might be several versions of it if you were checking out and in the same file several times.
- Choose Restore (Gjenopprett).
- Go to File Explorer, find the IFSCheckout folder and open the restored file.
- Open the Version History and you will see the list of different versions on one side (left or right) in your Office application.
- You can now review the different versions of the file and find the best version you want to keep.
- When you have found the version you want to "save", click the "Restore" button. The file will now be moved back to the folder it has been deleted from.
- Go back to the IFSCheckout folder and change the name of the newly restored file (add «restore» to the end of the name – it is important to keep the rest of the filename, it will contain document and revision numbers)
- Go back to IFS and check out the corrupt document.
- Go back to the IFSCheckout folder again and delete the corrupt file you have just checked out.
- Delete the «restore» name addition from the filename you want to check in and check in the document from IFS by clicking the "Check In" button.
