Autodesk and changing license method

Then unpack the downloaded ZIP file to any location. Open the Folder AdskLicensingSupportToolUI

Find the file AdskLicensingSupportToolUI.exe and double-click it to start it up.

Note: This requires admin access to the computer.

Autodesk Licensing Support Tool will show all Autodesk programs and license methods. In this example, there are 2 products that both are using Network Method.

Select a product

1. When a product is selected, 
2. Select license method: User
3. Click Apply changes button
4. Review the confirmation dialog box to ensure that the change was successful.
5. Repeat for each product

Note: The user might have to reboot the machine, but in most cases, it works with no restart.

If the user needs a license assigned, this must be done using https://manage.autodesk.com by Moreld Apply (Kjell Jarle Sandve or Trond Høiberg).

When a license is assigned, confirm that the user has a valid license like this:

Open Autodesk software. Look in the upper right corner. There you will see a small arrow pointing down next to ? (Help)

Click it and then select About Autodesk xxxxx

Click Manage Licenses… button

Expand the info box by clicking on the small arrow left to Product. In license details, you should now see that the license is connected to an Autodesk Identity
